Hi, I’m Liz — founder of The Mumba Collective, mum of two, and the creator of the Mumba Bra.

Like so many mothers, I struggled with breastfeeding, particularly with my second child. I saw not only my own challenges but those of so many other mums who were giving up breastfeeding earlier than they wanted to, often due to pain, lack of support, and frustration. That experience sparked something in me. I realised there was a real gap in the market for a product that could offer both practical support and emotional reassurance during such a crucial time.

So, I set out to design something that spoke directly to the real needs of breastfeeding mothers, a bra that provided comfort, flexibility, and functionality to support women through pregnancy and breastfeeding. With breastfeeding rates in the UK among the lowest in the world, I believed that more support — not less — was essential. And from that belief, the Mumba Bra was born.

Since launching in 2013, I’ve travelled across the UK and Europe to baby shows, selling the Mumba Bra directly to mums and hearing firsthand what they truly need. This journey has allowed me to build an incredible global community of mothers, women who’ve shared their stories, supported one another, and believed in the Mumba Bra as much as I do.

Thanks to your continued love and support, this mum-owned business has grown far beyond what I imagined.
