The Bra That Truly Understands Breastfeeding
Breastfeeding is beautiful — but it’s not always easy.
Introducing the Mumba Bra: the first nursing bra designed to address real breastfeeding challenges, not just offer access. Created by mum-of-two Elizabeth Morana in response to her own struggles, this ground-breaking, patented design supports mothers from pregnancy through to nursing — providing real support for the realities of breastfeeding.

WHERE IT ALL STARTED
When my daughter was born, I already knew breastfeeding was the right choice for me — I’d breastfed my son before and believed in the benefits. But despite my experience, within weeks I found myself facing the same struggles so many mums encounter.
Sleep-deprived, juggling a 16-month-old toddler, and trying to feed a distracted baby, even simple things — like remembering which side to feed from — became overwhelming. My daughter would pull away mid-feed, often distracted, and take my nipple with her... ouch. The result? Painful nipples, engorged breasts, and increasing frustration.
Breastfeeding started to feel like a burden instead of a bond.
I turned to friends, forums, and parenting communities — and I realised I wasn’t alone. So many mums were silently struggling or giving up breastfeeding before they truly wanted to. And yet, no product seemed to address these challenges in a meaningful way.
That’s when, in 2011, the idea for the Mumba Bra was born.
Real Support for Real Breastfeeding Struggles
The Mumba Bra wasn’t designed just to allow breastfeeding — it was created to solve the physical and emotional challenges that almost every breastfeeding mum faces.
Common Breastfeeding Challenges We Address:
-
- Sore, cracked nipples – often caused by poor latch
- Painful engorgement – due to infrequent or ineffective feeding
-
- Latch difficulties – impact both comfort and milk transfer
- Milk supply anxiety – fear of not producing enough milk
- Public feeding discomfort – fear, awkwardness, or self-consciousness
These issues are real — and they deserve real solutions.

Say Goodbye to Bras That Just Open
And hello to the first bra that truly supports your breastfeeding journey — emotionally, physically, and practically.
Mumba Care – Be Nourished
As I continued through my motherhood journey, I realised how all-consuming it can be — and how little time we take to care for ourselves as we care for our babies.
That was my wake-up call: motherhood isn’t just about giving — it’s also about nourishing yourself.
That’s why we created the Mumba Care – Be Nourished range: to encourage and champion self-care for breastfeeding mums. Because to nurture others, you must first nurture yourself.
Our goal is simple: to support you so you can breastfeed for as long as you choose, with the care and confidence you deserve.
From one mum to another, I hope our products empower you on your incredible journey.
With love,
Liz Morana
